My mother took me to my first Scottish Slimmers class when I was 15. I weighed 10.5 stones. Fast forward 40 years and I wish I was that light. In those 40 years, I have probably lost about 40 stones overall. Unfortunately, it was half a stone off, 10 lbs on. I tried every diet going- all the big classes Slimming World, Scottish Slimmers, WW, some magazine diets, "diet sheets" passed on from people at work and some I made up myself. Nothing really worked for good. Then I came across the Ditch the Diet Academy and I found hope. I was quite emotional about it at first because I felt if this did not work, that was it for me. Thankfully it did work. The Diet Declutter was first. It set me up mentally to get rid of the mental baggage as well as

I'm Faye. I've been doing Ditch the Diet for about three months now. I came across it by accident, I think, on Instagram because I've always been a bit of a diet fan girl. And I was following lots of healthy eating, lots of diet stuff, lots of Slimming World and Weight Watchers hashtags, people taking pictures of their meals, what they ate today and stuff, and I would scroll through that and get down on myself. But I stumbled across this anti-diet revolution side of Instagram where people are taking more of an approach to lifestyle change, and that's how I came across Ditch the Diet and I don't regret it at all. It's been a really fantastic thing for me and I've learned how to make small changes in my life, rather than counting every single calorie that goes

I'm Sarah and I'm here to tell you about my Ditch The Diet journey so far. I've just completed Transform21 (one of the Ditch the Diet online courses) and I'm really pleased to say that, after my three weeks, I have lost 5.2 pounds and a total of nine and a half inches, which I think is amazing. Before I joined Ditch The Diet, I felt fat, frumpy, generally just uncomfortable in my clothes, unhappy with myself, tired, out of breath. The usual things that you do. Before I joined Ditch The Diet, I was a Weight Watcher. I've been a Weight Watcher for about 20 years with a little side venture into Slimming World. The problem with Slimming World was they

I was devastated to receive your email and it says “we have just 1 week to go!” on Transform21. I am loving it and it has become so embedded into my routine, I just don’t want it to end. I know the Ditch the Diet Academy is still to come but that is like the final step so I don't want it to begin! You are part of my daily life; Facebook, Instagram, Podcasts, Live feeds, Blogs and daily recipes, your face or post is usually the first thing I see in the morning and last thing I see before heading to bed. I wish I had discovered you 40 years ago I wish I had discovered you 40 years ago, which is probably a few years after I started dieting and I have been on diets, on and off ever since. I

For the first time, I feel in control of my health and I feel healthy. Apologies in advance but this is a long one. It is a full self-reflection dump of the past 4 weeks. Short version: I have fallen in love with food again. The long version is below: Meal planning has enabled me to try 2 new recipes each week, which has meant that I have tried new food (ingredients) each week. It has enabled me to stay on track with eating an ever-widening variety of real food. I now sit at the table for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, my husband likes eating on the sofa and I join him there because I quite like him still (even after 29 years). Breakfast: I used to have porridge and honey every weekday. Now I have 3 days of porridge with a different

I first saw Ditch the Diet Academy pop up on my Instagram feed and I was intrigued by the free five-day Diet Declutter program. I scrolled past but found myself going back to the website to find out more. I’d tried calorie counting and SW previously and now weighed more than before I started so I signed up as I had nothing to lose except even more happiness and self-confidence! The Diet Declutter teaches you to bin everything diet-related like pills, potions, cookbooks and also to clear out your Instagram and FB feeds of any accounts or groups that make you feel unhappy! Once I’d done this I kind of felt free! Alongside that, I decluttered my kitchen cupboards so I wanted to spend more time in there prepping my meals, and then took my weight, Day 1 photos and measurements so I

I was a skinny child and it wasn’t until I hit my thirties that I suddenly started putting on weight. Before I discovered The Ditch the Diet Academy, I did my own diet plan - which was basically starvation, and of course, that didn’t work. "I tried Herbalife and I cringe when I think back to that, I also bought tablets that were supposed to 'grab the fat out of you'. They cost me a fortune and also didn’t work." Then, I joined a 'clean eating' group and actually, I did lose a lot of weight, but it was so restrictive and I hated every moment of it.  I couldn’t wait for those days to be over. Then, when it was over I went back to normal, I put the pounds that I had lost back on again and was back to

Before I started working with Rachael I was not in a good place at all. I was really miserable in myself, although if you asked my close friends and family, they wouldn’t have known because I keep a lot of how I’m feeling to myself. I try and put on a big smile and try to act confident and fool people because I don’t want people to know. I wasn’t eating the right foods, I was drinking a lot of alcohol, binging on crisps and chocolate, biscuits and sweets. "I was in a vicious circle of sometimes starving myself through the day and binging at night." Every week it was like - Monday, right let’s start, this week I’m gonna blast it - but it just wasn’t working. Because I was starving myself through the day, I felt ravenous by 9 pm

[caption id="attachment_1905" align="alignleft" width="300"] Sian[/caption] Confidence isn't something you can buy - but you CAN find it again if you have the right tools, and the right people by your side. Working with Rachael as your coach isn't all about changing your bodyweight, losing weight, toning up and changing the way you look. Most of the time, being overweight is a result of having a bad relationship with food - and addressing the root cause of your problems is often the most difficult part. Client Sian, who completed Transform21 in 2016, has gone on to regain her confidence, pass her driving test AND apply for college - something she never expected to happen just as a result of signing up for a 21 day 'weight loss' program! Proud of you, girl.   Here's what Sian has to say

[caption id="attachment_1900" align="alignleft" width="300"] Hannah with her family[/caption]     I had been told I had to lose weight in order to be able to have surgery for a condition that whilst not life threatening affects my life daily. I was desperate, didn't know what to try but knew I needed support. I emailed Rach and even though she felt like death and was poorly replied straight away and filled me with confidence. I tentatively signed up for Transform 21 thinking I had nothing to lose. I've since completed the graduate program as well, and am re-visiting it at the moment to refresh myself.   On Friday was finally out on the waiting list for surgery. I couldn't have done it without Rach's guidance, knowledge and the support of her and the group. If you have any hesitation then honestly put your trust in Rach

I am currently entering into my 10th week of one to one coaching with Rachael. To say that my outlook on my own personal wellbeing has improved is putting it mildly. Rachael has helped me improve my mind, body and soul. Before starting this journey (it really is a journey), I was at an all time low. With Rachael's help; my own personal wellbeing has improved greatly. I sleep better, my skin is better and my attitude to food has changed dramatically. I have also lost just under a stone in 9 weeks (added bonus). For me personally this is not only about losing weight. I want to feel better in my own skin and I can honestly say I'm well on my way. With regards to fitness, Rachael really does know her stuff. She really does practise what she preaches. I have always

I started working with Rachael by completing Transform21, starting end of June 2016, ending mid July. Leading up to that point, I was very busy and stressed and I was totally fed up, tired, bloated, sluggish, overweight - exhausted with eating and I didn't know where to turn. Which diet should I try this time? Having completed Transform21, the Graduate Program and currently working 1 to 1 which Rachael, I feel great. So many factors in my life have changed that's it is vital to understand that this is not a diet program, or simply an eating program. The most significant change for me has been my attitude towards food and to myself. Instead of food controlling me I feel I can control what and when I want to eat and still have treats when I REALLY want them, not just as

Before starting coaching with Rachael I found it really difficult to lose weight on a consistent basis with emotional eating often sabotaging my progress, making me feel like I would never be able to achieve my goals. Four months into coaching I can now see my body starting to change into the body I have always wanted, it's not perfect but it's mine and I am finally starting to like my body after spending most of my life hating it. The emotional connection I used to have with food doesn't exist anymore and for the most part I am consistent with eating healthy food that I actually now really enjoy. My mindset has also changed beyond recognition. I have even recently joined a gym, which is something I have wanted to do for years (even had the gym clothes at the back
